Artist's Description
Lambs are cuddly, soft, gentle and sweet, so its easy find them as a hightlight of a trip to Ireland. Because of their little cries the Irish call them Baa Lambs. When separated from their mothers you can hear the bleating cries of the mother and the lamb as they seek each other among the flock or among the rocks and the heather of the mountainside. In Ireland lambs that have been orphaned will be raised by the children of the house with a baby's feeding bottle of milk. When local sheep farmers do not have time to feed them, children will adopt them and have three or four pet lambs to feed several times a day.
About Jeannie Allerton
Jeannie Allerton grew up in the suburbs of Phila, later spent 25 years in Monmouth County, NJ and now resides happily retired with her family in Havre de Grace, MD, a beautiful little city on the Chesapeake Bay. Her father was an artist and Jeannie always wanted to learn from him. Since 2012, she has had the privilege to study painting on a weekly basis under nationally acclaimed and locally loved artist, Lee Alban. At Monmouth University she minored in art but majored in business-accounting to assure a good salary. Now that she is has more time, she enjoys painting the scenes she captures with her camera.
